The Effect of Elementary School Teachers Defense Style on Depression

본 연구는 초등교사의 방어유형이 우울에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 경기도 내 초등학교 교사를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며 최종 376명의 설문지를 분석하였다. 연구결과, 미성숙한 방어유형과 갈등회피적 방어유형은 우울에 정적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 적응적 방어유형은 부적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 즉, 미성숙한 방어유형과 갈등회피적 방어유형을 많이 사용하고, 적응적 방어유형을 적게 사용할수록 우울을 많이 경험한다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이를 통해 초등교사의 우울을 개선하는데 적응적 방어유형이 도움이 될 것으로 사료된다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of elementary school teachers defense style on depression. To this end, a survey was conducted for elementary school teachers in Gyeonggi-do, and the final 376 questionnaires were analyzed. As a result of the study, it was found that the immature defense style and the conflict avoidance defense style had a statistically significant effect on depression, and the adaptive defense style had a negatively significant effect. That is, it was found that the more immature defense style and conflict-avoidance defense style were used, and the less adaptive defense style were used, the more depression experienced. Through this, it is thought that the adaptive defense style will help to improve the depression of elementary school teachers.
