‘글쓰기와 말하기’ 교재 개편에 따른 교수-학습 내용과 수업의 방향성

The Teaching-Learning Content and the Direction of Classes according to the Reorganization of the Writing and Speaking Textbook

본 연구는 강원대학교 <글쓰기와 말하기> 의 개편 교재인 『생각과 언어』(2019)의 교수-학습 내용과 수업의 방향성을 고찰한 것이다. <글쓰기와 말하기>는 2014년도에 개설되어 『창의적인 글쓰기와 말하기』(2014)라는 교재가 2018년까지 사용되다가 『생각과 언어』(2019)로 개편되어 모든 계열에서 활용된다. 『창의적 사고와 글쓰기』(2014)의 교수-학습 내용은 창의적인 사고를 전제로 창의적 글쓰기, 설명적 글쓰기, 설득적 글쓰기, 학술적 글쓰기 교육과 토론을 비롯한 프레젠테이션, 면접에 이르는 말하기 교육이 주된 교과 내용이었다. 이에 반해 『생각과 언어』(2019)에서는 언어의 본질과 기능, 글쓰기 윤리 교육을 시작으로 글쓰기 과정의 학습을 통한 비평문 작성과 보고서 쓰기로 확장된다. 무엇보다 이 교재에서 강조된 부분은 ‘융합적 사고와 표현’에 포함된 빅데이터 분석, 리빙랩 프로젝트, 스토리 펀딩과 관련된 ‘문제 해결을 위한 프로젝트 중심 학습’의 제시이다. 학습자들은 <글쓰기와 말하기>라는 과목을 통하여 교수자에게 정보를 습득하는 기존의 교육 관념에서 탈피하게 된다. 무엇보다 『생각과 언어』(2019)는 자신의 고유한 지식을 활용하여 문제를 해결한 뒤, 프레젠테이션과 보고서 작성으로 실현시킬 수 있는 하나의 수업 모델을 교과내용으로 제공한다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 나아가 개편 교재의 분석은 타 대학의 교재 개발에 있어서 하나의 사례가 될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

This research is based on the analysis of 『Thinking and Language』(2019), a revised textbook used in the subject of <Writing and Speaking> in Kangwon National University. <Writing and Speaking> was launched in 2014 and has been used in all kinds of classes, with 『Creative writing and speaking』(2014) being used until 2018 and then reorganized into 『Thinking and Language』 in 2019. 『Creative Thinking and Writing』(2014) was the main subject of the curriculum, including academic writing(report and thesis), presentation, and interviewing, along with explanations, editorials, and narrative writing, which are based on creative thinking and original ideas. In comparison, 『Thinking and Language』(2019) will be expanded to write criticism and report writing through the acquisition of writing processes, starting with the essentials, functions, and subjects of writing ethics that serve as means of communication. Most of all, the emphasis is on a variety of topics, such as Big data analysis, Living Lab projects and Story-funding, in fusion thinking and expression. As a result, learners will be able to bring the subject of the textbook Part 4. Converged Thinking and Expression into their lives and think about it in a fusion way, and then express it in a speech and academic writing, Report. The main subject of this project-oriented learning for problem solving is none other than learners. Therefore, learners can break away from the conventional stereotype of acquiring information from professors through the subject of <Writing and Speaking>. In addition, learners will be able to use their own unique knowledge to solve problems, which can be realized through presentations and report writing.
