고등학생이 지각한 부모의 심리적 통제와 우울의 관계에서 자아분화의 매개효과

The Mediating Effect of Self- Differentiation Between Parental Psychological Control and Depression Perceived by High School Students

이 연구는 고등학생이 지각한 부모의 심리적 통제와 우울의 관계에서 자아분화가 매개하는지 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 경기도와 충북에 위치한 인문계 고등학교 2학년 남녀 학생을 대상으로 설문조사하였으며, 총 478부의 설문지를 통계 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 고등학생이 지각하는 부와 모의 심리적 통제는 우울과 정적 상관을, 자아분화와는 부적 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 고등학생은 부의 심리적 통제보다 모의 심리적 통제를 더 높게 지각하였다. 셋째, 고등학생이 지각한 부와 모의 심리적 통제와 우울의 관계에서 자아분화는 부분 매개하였으며, 유의미한 매개변수임이 검증되었다. 즉 부와 모의 심리적 통제는 고등학생의 우울에 직접적으로 영향을 미칠 뿐만 아니라 자아분화를 매개로 우울에 영향을 미친다는 것을 의미한다. 그러므로 고등학생의 우울을 감소시키기 위해 고등학생의 자아분화 수준을 향상시키고 부모의 심리적 통제를 줄일 수 있는 교육 및 상담프로그램 개발과 실시가 필요하겠다.

The purpose of this study is to understand whether the self-differentiation mediates the relationship between parental psychological control and depression perceived by high school students. As such, a survey was conducted on second-year high school students who attend co-educational humanities high schools in Gyeonggi-do and Chungcheongbuk-do. The results of 478 responses are the followings: First, the parental psychological control perceived by the high school students is correlate positively to depression and negatively to self-differentiation. Second, the high school students perceive the psychological control of mothers control more than that of fathers. Third, the self-differentiation partially mediates the relationship between the parental psychological control and the depression perceived by the high school students and proves to be a significant parameter. Thus, the high school students who perceive the level of their parents’ psychological control to be high have low level of self-differentiation and high level of depression; on the other hand, the high school students who perceive the level of the psychological control to be low have high self-differentiation and low depression. Therefore, in order to reduce the depression in high school students, it is crucial to develop and implement education and counselling programs to improve the level of self-differentiation of high school students and reduce the parental psychological control.
