A Study on Adaptive Modification Algorithm for Disturbance Vibration Control System Design

In this paper, we propose a new method to remove periodic disturbances of unknown frequency and apply them to real plants such as active systems of MR dampers. We introduce a design method that applies a new adaptive algorithm for the elimination of sinusoidal disturbances at unknown frequencies by improving existing ones such as Adaptive Feedforward Control(AFC). In other words, by applying the adaptive algorithm theory to Bodson-like estimation blocks, the amplitude and phase of disturbances are accurately reconstructed in a very short time. This is due to the nonlinear factor used in the adaptive control algorithm. The system only requires a sensor located at the plant output for operation. Mathematically analyze the proposed algorithm and show its suitability for mechanical vibration suppression.
