This study aims to verify the process and results using simulation programs before conducting production process automation using robots to increase productivity at auto-part manufacturing facilities. The automation process was first designed to consist of robots, PLCs, vision systems, etc. Through a field analysis, the designed process was simulated using iCADPlus. The simulation results showed a reduction of 50% in the labor costs in the work process and an improvement of 30% in the productivity. In particular, the simulation was used to identify the costs and productivity of the automation process in advance, which was considerably helpful in establishing a business plan and ensuring business competitiveness.
