여성 결혼이민자의 사회적 차별 경험이 세 가지 만족도에 미치는 영향 : 중국, 중국(한국계), 베트남, 필리핀을 중심으로

본 논문은 여성 결혼이민자의 차별 경험이 세 가지 만족도(생활 만족도, 배우자와의 관계 만족도, 자녀와의 관계 만족도)에 가져오는 영향을 ‘2015년, 2018년 전국다문화실태조사 원자료’를 사용하여 실증적으로 확인하고, 여성 결혼이민자의 삶의 차별에 대한 학문적 관심 뿐 아니라 사회적 관심이 지속적으로 필요한 증거를 제시하고자 하였다. 특히 중국, 중국(한국계), 베트남, 필리핀 출신배경을 가진 여성 결혼이민자들의 차별 경험과 만족도와의 관계를 비교하였다. 분석 결과 사회적 차별 경험이 있는 중국계 여성 결혼이민자는 한국 생활의 전반적인 만족도와 배우자와의 관계 만족도가 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 같은 아시아국이라 할지라도 베트남계, 필리핀계 여성 결혼이민자는 다른 차별 경험을 지니며, 이들이 지각하는 차별 경험은 한국 생활의 전반적인 만족도뿐만 아니라 배우자, 자녀와의 관계 만족도에 부정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 자녀와의 관계에 부정적 영향을 주는 것은 언어차별 등으로 인해 자신이 살아왔던 문화적 특성대로 자녀를 양육하는 경향이 과잉보호나 통제적 양육 행동으로 나타날 가능성이 높기 때문인 것으로 해석된다. 여성 결혼이민자에게 공통적으로 나타난 결과를 살펴보면, 가구 순소득이 높을수록 전반적인 만족도와 배우자와의 관계 만족도가 유의미하게 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 체류기간이 짧을수록 배우자와의 관계만족도가 유의미하게 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 해당 결과는 여성 결혼이민자가 겪는 사회적 차별 경험이 사회문제로서 다루어져야 함은 물론 출신 배경에 따른 문화적 적응에 관심을 기울여야 함을 시사한다.

This study examines the effects of social discrimination and individual-level factors on the life satisfaction among marriage-immigrants from China, China_Korea, Vietnam and Philippines, using the ‘2015 National Survey on Multi-cultural Families.’ and ‘2018 National Survey on Multi-cultural Families.’ This study mainly explores whether experiences on discriminations against marriage-immigrants have a negative impact on the satisfaction with their spouse and children as well as overall life satisfaction. The results show the discrimination against immigrant women’s marriage groups was found to be important in that it could promote the stratification of ethnic and ethnic groups in the future. And that experiences on discrimination significantly lower life satisfaction as well as the satisfaction with their spouse among Chinese female marriage-immigrants. But that experiences on discrimination significantly lower life satisfaction as well as the satisfaction with their spouse and children among Korean-Chinese, Vietnamese, Filipinas female marriage-immigrants The common results for immigrants in all countries are as follows. The satisfaction with their spouse is likely to increase as they get higher the net income of households. And female marriage-immigrants with short duration of stay are found to be highly satisfied with their relationship with their spouses.
