외국인 유학생 대상의 성찰적 글쓰기 수업 방안 연구

A Study on the teaching methods of Reflective Writing for Foreign Students

본 논문의 목적은 외국인 유학생을 연구 대상으로 성찰적 글쓰기 수업 방안을 모색하는 것이다. 특히 ‘자기 성장’에 주목하여 학습자가 성장하는 자신의 모습을 발견하는 성찰적인 글쓰기를 연구하고자 한다. 본고에서는 성장 서사를 활용하여 ‘자기 성장’ 중심의 글쓰기를 할 수 있도록 Van Gennep의 통과의례 이론을 성찰적 글쓰기 수업 방안에 활용한다. 외국인 유학생들은 고국이라는 익숙한 세계에서 한국이라는 낯선 세계로 와서 생활하는 동안 여러 가지 어려움을 겪고 문제를 해결해 나가면서 성장하는 과정을 경험하게 된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 한국 생활에서 ‘분리-전환-통합’이라는 통과의례 과정을 직접적으로 경험하는 외국인 학습자들이 ‘자기 성장’ 중심의 글쓰기를 통하여 자기를 탐색하고 성찰할 수 있도록 효과적인 수업 방안을 제안하고자 한다. 본 연구는 무엇보다도 외국인 유학생들이 성장하고 있는 자신을 발견하여 유학생활을 성공적으로 해나갈 수 있도록 도우려는 목적을 가지고 있다.

The purpose of this paper is to study the teaching methods of reflective writing for foreign students. In particular, this paper seeks to study the reflective writing of discovering one s growing self by paying attention to self-growth . Therefore, Van Genepp s theory of rite of passage is used in reflective writing learning methods so that students can use their growth narrative to write centered on self-growth. Foreign students come from a familiar world of home country to a strange world of Korea and experience the process of growing up through various difficulties and solving them. Therefore, this study suggests effective teaching methods so that foreign learners who directly experience the process of rite of passage called separation-transformation-integration in Korean life can explore and reflect on themselves through self-growth -oriented writing. The purpose of this study is to help foreign students find themselves growing up and succeed in their studies.
