4차 산업혁명 시대의 디지털 역량 탐구

Exploring Digital Competence for the Era of the 4th Industrial Revolution

이 연구의 목적은 4차 산업혁명 시대의 디지털 교육이 지향하는 디지털 역량의 개념과 구성 요소를 밝히는 것이다. 이를 위하여 4차 산업혁명의 주요 특징, 디지털 리터러시와 디지털 역량의 개념 및 구성 요소 등을 탐색하였다. 이를 통해 4차 산업혁명을 고려한 디지털 역량의 개념 및 구성 요소를 정의하였고, 2차례의 전문가 조사를 통해 수정 및 보완하여 최종안을 제시하였다. 이 연구의 결과 및 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 4차 산업혁명의 주요 특징에서 전이된 디지털 역량의 배경, 기술적 지식, 직업적 요구, 지향점, 사회적 문제의 측면을 토대로 디지털 역량이 개념화되고, 디지털 역량의 세부 역량이 구성될 수 있었다. 둘째, 문헌 탐색 결과, 디지털 리터러시와 디지털 역량 모두 공통 요소가 유사하였으나, 디지털 역량의 경우, 디지털 사회 이슈가 좀 더 강조되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 4차 산업혁명을 고려한 최종 디지털 역량의 개념은 “디지털 사회의 시민으로서 책임과 의무를 준수하고, 권리를 행사하며, 직업적 요구를 수용하기 위해 필요한 디지털 지식, 기능, 태도”로 정의되었다.

The purpose of this study is to uncover the concepts and components of digital competence aimed at digital education in the era of the fourth industrial revolution. To this end, the main characteristics of the 4th industrial revolution were examined, and the concepts and components of existing digital literacy and digital competence were explored. Through this process, the draft version of the concept and elements of the digital competence considering the 4th industrial revolution were defined, and the final draft was proposed by revising and supplementing through two times expert investigations. The results and conclusions of this study are as follows. First, The concept and components of digital competence could be defined based on the background of digital competence, technical knowledge, professional needs, orientation, and social problems, which were transferred from the main characteristics of the 4th industrial revolution. Second, as a result of literature search, it was found that digital literacy and digital competence have similar elements in common, but in the case of digital competence, digital social issues are more emphasized. Third, the concept of the final digital competence in consideration of the 4th industrial revolution was defined as “digital knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to fulfill responsibilities and obligations, exercise rights, and accommodate professional needs as a citizen of the digital society”.
