A Study on a Christian view of People and Land in Multi-cultural Society

오늘 날 인류는 초연결 시대를 살아가고 있다. 그 결과 지리적 거리를 뛰어 넘어상호간 영향을 주며 살아가는 다문화 사회에 이미 진입을 하였다. 대한민국도 이러한 현상에서 자유롭지 못하다. 이런 상황 속에 우리나라와 우리민족의 정체성은 어떤 의미를 지니고 있을까? 본 논문은 다문화적 사회에서 사람들과 땅에 관한 크리스쳔의 관점을 고찰한다. 본 논문은 크게 3가지 파트로 나누어지는데 첫 파트는 한국인으로서 그 정체성은 어떤 모습들이 있는지를 다루고 두 번째 파트에서는 이미다문화 현상을 충분히 경험한 남아프리카공화국과 유럽의 상황을 다룬다. 남아프리카공화국과 유럽에서는 이미 외국인 혐오 (xenophobia) 현상이 자리를 잡고 있으며 한국 역시 그들만큼 수면위에 들어나지 않았지만 유럽과 남아프리카 공화국의흐름을 따라 갈 잠재력이 있다. 마지막 파트에서는 이러한 상황에 대하여 사람들과땅에 대한 성경적 관점을 제시한다. 사람의 정체성과 땅을 회복함에 있어서 창조- 타락-구속이라는 순서로 형식화되어 있는데 구속사적인 측면에서 하나님의 주권속 가운데 인간의 정체성과 땅의 의미가 회복이 되며 특히 역대하에 등장하는 족보(톨레도트)를 대표적인 예로 제시한다. 결론적으로 저자는 구약의 이런 개념은 신약시대 예수님의 지상명령으로 이어지며 그 안에 크리스쳔들은 땅과 사람의 정체성을 찾을 수 있으며 그리스도의 재림 때까지 하나님의 백성으로서 선교적 사명을인식해야 한다고 주장을 한다.

Humanity is living in a hyper-connected era in contemporary time. As a result, we have already entered a multicultural society that people can connect beyond the geographical distance. Korea is not free from this phenomenon. What does the identity of ‘our country’ and ‘Korean people’ mean in this situation? This paper examines the meaning of Christians in terms of people and the land in a multicultural society. It is divided into three parts. The first part is about Koreans and what their identity looks like, and the second part deals with the situation of South Africa and Europe, which have already experienced enough multicultural phenomena. In South Africa and Europe, the xenophobia phenomenon is already in place South Korea has high potential of going through a similar path. In the final section the author presents a biblical view of people and the earth. In restoring human identity and land, the sequence of creation-fall-redemption is framed. In terms of redemptive history, the identity of the human being and the meaning of the earth are restored among God s sovereignty. The Tole-Dot, which appears at the last section of the 2 Chronicles is an example. Finally, the author argues that this concept of the Old Testament leads to Jesus’ Great Commission. In it Christians can find biblical meaning of ‘identity’ and ‘the land’. Thus it is mandatory for Christians to recognize His missionary call until the return of Christ.
