예비교사교육의 개선방안에 관한 연구

Research on the Improvements of Pre-service Teacher Education: Advanced Skills Teachers

본 연구는 예비교사(사범대학생)교육의 문제점을 살펴보고, 이를 개선하기 위하여 117명의 수석교사들이 퍼실리테이션 기법을 활용한 토의활동을 통해 사범대학생 선발 기준 개선, 사범대학 교육과정 개선, 교육실습생 체계개선, 임용고사 체제개선이라는 4개의 ‘핵심문제’와 이에 따른 15개의 ‘토의문제’를 도출하고, 문제해결 방안을 찾아보았다. 그리고 연구에 참여한 수석교사 중 21명을 선발하여 온라인 설문으로 델파이 조사를 실시하여 추가 자료를 분석하였다. 연구결과, 다음의 4가지 결론을 도출하였다. 첫째, 사범대학에서 학생을 선발할 때 교직적성이 잘 반영되고 창의적 사고와 융합적 사고능력을 갖춘 인재를 선발하기 위한 기준이 마련되어야 한다. 둘째, 미래 사회 변화에 잘 대비할 수 있으며, 현장의 다양한 환경에 적응할 수 있는 교사로서의 인성을 충분히 함양할 수 있는 방향으로 사범대학의 교육과정이 개선되어야 한다. 셋째, 우수 교원 중심의 교사 협의체 속에서 함께 성장할 수 있는 형태로 교육실습체계가 개선되어야 한다. 넷째, 교사 선발 과정에서 인턴제도 경력과 학교 도우미 활동 참여 여부 등에 따른 가산점을 부여하여 실질적인 학생 지도 역량을 갖춘 교사를 선발해야 한다. 이러한 예비교사교육의 개선 방안을 반영한다면 사범대학 교육과정이 교육현장과 괴리되는 문제를 해결하고, 수업, 생활지도, 교직실습 등의 영역에서 전문성을 갖춘 교사를 양성할 수 있을 것이다.

The study looked into problems in pre-service teacher(teachers’colleges students) education. To improve them, 117 advanced skills teachers drew four(4) ‘essential issues’and related 15 ‘discussion items’through discussion using facilitation skill _ Four essential issues are improvement of selection standards for teachers’colleges students, improvement of educational curriculum in teachers’colleges, improvement of system for student teachers, and improvement of system for employment examination. Finally, they tried to find solutions for the issues. And additional data were analyzed through Delphi method with on-line questionnaire. To this end, 21 teachers among advanced skills teachers who attended this research were selected. As the study results, 4(four) conclusions were found as follows. First, When teachers’colleges select students, they should prepare standards to select qualified students with creative and fusion based thinking. And the standards should reflect aptitude needed in a teacher. Second, Educational curriculum in teachers’colleges should be improved towards direction to cultivate personality as a teacher who can address social change in the future and can adapt to various environment at the educational field. Third, Teaching practicum system should be improved in the form where student teachers can grow in the midst of teacher learning community mainly composed of excellent teachers together. Fourth, In the selecting process of teachers, teachers with capacity to instruct student well should be selected, providing extra points for career of intern, school helper activity etc. The suggestions for improvement of pre-service teacher education would contribute to solving the problem that educational curriculum in teachers’colleges has gap with educational site. And this could bring cultivation of professional teachers in classroom lecture, school life guidance, teaching practicum etc.
