Demand Analysis for Regional Statistics Activation Based on the Jeonbuk Province Questionnaire

지방자치를 성공적으로 정착시키고 바람직한 정책을 제대로 추진하기 위해서는 지역사회에 대한 적절한 통계자료 개발 및 이에 대한 체계적인 관리에 대한 연구가 선행되어야 한다. 이를 위하여 지방자치단체나 지역통계를 필요로 하는 학계에서는 통계청을 비롯한 국가기관에 지역통계 생산의 필요성을 지속적으로 요구하고 필요한 예산지원을 요청해야 하는데, 이를 위해서는 지역에서 필요로 하는 통계가 무엇인지 사전적으로 알아야만 한다. 그런데 현재 지방자치단체의 새로운 통계수요를 발굴하는 기능은 매우 미약하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 지역통계 개발 시 요구되는 통계가 무엇인지에 대한 수요분석을 전라북도 지역을 대상으로 실시해 보았다.

The proper statistical data development for regional society and the research of systematic management must be preceded to settle down the successful local self-government autonomy and propel the desirable policy. To do this, in a local autonomous entity and educational circles requiring a regional statistics, they demand government organizations like the National Statistical Office, the necessity of production and a budget persistently. They must find out this situation beforehand. But at present the function of finding a demand analysis in a local autonomous entity is very weak. In this paper, we carried out a demand analysis demanding in regional statistics in Jeonbuk province.
