운전자 특성에 따른 고속도로 시설물 이용 경향 분석

An Analysis of Utilization Highway Facility on the Characteristics of Drivers

본 연구에서는 고령운전자가 증가하고 운전목적이 다양하게 변화하고 있는 우리나라 교통상황에서 운전자들의 고속도로 시설물에 대한 이용 경향이 어떠한 지를 운전자 특성에 따라 분석해 보고자 하였다. 연구 결과, 고령운전자일수록 고속도로 휴게소 시설물 중 휴식관련 시설에 대해서 다른 운전자들보다 더 많은 요구를 나타내고 있었다. 직업목적으로 고속도로를 운전하는 운전자들도 고속도로 휴게소 시설물 중 휴식관련 시설에 대한 요구 수준이 개인목적으로 고속도로를 운전하는 운전자보다 더 높았다. 운전자들이 고속도로 휴게소시설물 중 휴식관련 시설에 대해서 높은 요구를 나타내는 것은 첫째, 고속도로 구간이 증가함에 따라 장시간·장거리 운전이 많아졌기 때문이다. 둘째, 고속도로 이용목적이 단순 경유형에서 여가형으로 확대되고 있고 물류량이 증가함에 따라 직업목적으로 장거리를 운전하는 운전자들이 증가하였기 때문이다. 고속도로 휴게소와 인터체인지, 터널 및 교량에 대한 알림 표지판의 경우 고령운전자일수록 더 먼 거리에서 좀 더 일찍 시설물을 알려주는 표지판이 제시되기를 바라고 있었다. 이러한 경향은 직업적인 운전자들에게서도 동일하게 나타났다.

In this study, we focused on the difference of inclination of highway facilities usage by drivers characteristics. Lately, the population of elderly drivers has been increasing, and driving purposes has become various because of the changes of industrial environment. This study s findings are as follow. Elderly drivers expressed more claims about the highway rest areas than younger drivers did. Also, Commercial drivers showed more negative opinions about the rest area services than private drivers did. we assumed that there are two reasons for these results. First, the population of long-distance driver has been increased because of the recent road constructions and renewals. Second, the proportion of leisure-purposed transportation has been increased. In the analysis of the road related questions, elderly drivers and commercial drivers answered that they need to see the road signs earlier than they so now.
