노년기의 성차에 따른 신체 인지도와 신체 만족도 비교

A Comparative Study on the Difference between Male and Female Elders s Perception and Satisfaction of their Body Shape

본 연구는 노년기의 성차에 따른 신체 인지도와 신체 만족도를 비교하기 위하여 부산광역시에 거주하는 만 60세 이상의 남성 106명과 여성 111명을 대상으로 상관관계분석을 통해 신체 인지도와 신체 만족도 항목간의 성별 상관관계를 비교하고, BMI(body mass index)에 의해 분류된 3개 체형별로 10개 인체측정항목에 대한 분산분석과 Duncan test를 실시하였으며, 체형 유형별로 20개 신체 인지도 항목, 20개 신체 만족도 항목에 대해 T-test를 실시하였다. 체형 유형별 인원 분포는 남성의 경우 마른 체형3.77%, 정상 체형 75.47%, 비만 체형 20.76%로 나타났으며, 여성의 경우 마른 체형 6.31%, 정상 체형 64.86%, 비만 체형 28.83%로 나타났다. 신체 인지도는 마른 체형의 3개, 정상 체형의 7개, 비만 체형의 6개 항목에서 성차가 나타났으며, 노년 여성이 노년 남성보다 이들 신체 부위를 더욱 민감하게 인지하였다. 신체 만족도는 정상 체형의 3개, 비만 체형의 10개 항목에서만 성차가 나타났으며, 이들 신체 부위에 대한 노년 여성의 불만이 노년 남성보다 더욱 높게 나타났다.

The purpose of this study is to compare the difference between male and female elders s perception and satisfaction of their body shape classified by BMI. The subject of this study consisted of 106 males and 111 females who aged over 60 in Pusan. Correlation between the perception and satisfaction of their body shape was analyzed by Correlation analysis. The difference between male and female elders s perception and satisfaction of their body shape in 3 type classified by BMI was analyzed by T-test. Male elders were classified thin type(3.77%), normal type(75.47%) and obesity type(20.76%) by BMI. Female elders were classified thin type(6.31%), normal type(64.86%) and obesity type(28.83%) by BMI. There was significant difference between male and female elders s perception of their body shape in 3 items of thin type, 7 items of normal type and 6 items of obesity type. Female elders perceived their body shape more sensitive than male elders. And there was significant difference between male and female elders s satisfaction of their body shape in 3 items of normal type and 10 items of obesity type. Female elders were dissatisfied with their body shape more than male elders.
