호텔 종사자들의 유니폼 만족도 및 디자인 선호에 관한 연구

A Study on the Satisfaction and Preference of Hotel Employee s Uniform

본 연구에서는 호텔 종사자들을 대상으로 그들이 현재 착용하고 있는 유니폼에 대한 만족도와 선호도를 조사, 분석해 봄으로써 바람직한 유니폼디자인에 대한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 한다. 2006년 3월 8일부터 17일까지12일간 부산의 특급 호텔을 중심으로 유니폼을 착용하는 남녀 호텔 종사자 205명을 대상으로 설문지를 이용하여 조사하였다. 본 연구결과 유니폼 만족도는 심미성, 활동성, 상징성, 관리성 순으로 나타났고, 전체적인 유니폼 만족도는 개선되었으면 한다 가 가장 높게 나타나 조사대상자들은 대체로 유니폼의 개선을 원하는 것을 알 수 있다. 인구통계적 특성에 따른 유니폼 만족도는 연령, 직급에 유의한 차가 나타났고, 유니폼 디자인 선호도는 성별, 소재, 연령, 문양 여부에 유의한 차가 나타났다. 유니폼 디자인 선호도는 소재는 면과 합성의 혼방섬유, 문양은 무지가, 색상은 검정을 가장 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 유니폼에 대한 개선점은 디자인, 기능성, 소재, 색상 순으로 나타나 호텔 유니폼의 디자인에 대한 전반적인 개선과 개발이 요구된다.

The purpose of this study is to know basic data of desirable Uniform design by analyzing and examining satisfaction and preferences of Hotel employee s uniform. This study was surveyed by questionnaires to 205 of the hotel employees working at five-star hotels in Busan during March 8-17, 2006 . The findings of the results were as follows. In the satisfaction of uniform, the importance was a sense of esthetic sense, a sense of activity, a sense of symbolism, a sense of management in order, and responded want to be improved to the utmost. Therefore, it is seemed that the respondents generally wanted to be improved of uniform s design. There appeared significant differences in ages and positions of uniform s satisfaction, and sex, materials, ages, and patterns of uniform s preferences. There was preferred extremely mixed spinning by cotton and synthetic fiber in material, black in color. The improvement of Uniform s design and preference were needed in design, activity, material, color.
