Development of a Scale for Attitudes toward Emergency Contraceptive Pills s Use

본 연구의 목적은 응급피임약에 대한 태도를 개발하고 이 도구의 신뢰도와 타당도를 평가하는 것이다. 편의 추출된 511명의 대학생들에게 자가보고 질문지를 사용하여 조사하였다. 문항분석결과 12 문항이 최종 선택되었고, 신뢰도는 .78이었다. 요인분석결과 응급피임약에 대한 태도 도구는 세 요인(남용의 두려움, 구입의 용이성, 건강염려)으로 구성되었으며, 세 요인은 전체변량의 61.196%를 설명하였다. 응급피임약에 대해 수용적인 그룹이 수용적이지 않은 그룹보다 응급피임약에 대한 태도 점수가 유의하게 높았다. 응급피임약에 대한 태도의 구성은 남용이나 건강에 대한 염려 등 부정적인 측면이 많았다. 응급피임약에 대한 부정적인 이미지는 실제 응급피임약을 사용해야하는 상황에서 자율적인 의사결정을 방해할 수 있으므로 응급피임약의 안전성에 대한 교육과 홍보가 더 적극적으로 이루어질 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서 개발된 도구를 활용하여 다양한 연령층과 타 문화권에서 도구의 신뢰도와 타당도의 재검증 및 도구의 보안을 위한 연구를 제언한다.

The aim of this study was to design and evaluate a scale for measuring the attitudes toward emergency contraceptive pills use in sexual relationships. A questionnaire was administered to 511 college students using a convenience sampling method. The psychometric properties (reliability and validity) were evaluated. As a result of the item analysis, 12 items were selected and the internal consistency alpha coefficient was .78. Results indicated that the emergency contraceptive pills attitude scale is composed of three factors: fear of misuse; easy accessibility; and health concern. The three factors accounted for 61.196% of the variance in the total scale. The results demonstrate that attitudes towards the emergency contraceptive pills are multifactorial, and the reliability and validity of the scale is supported.
