SERVQUAL과 QFD의 통합모형을 이용한 교육 서비스 품질 측정

Using SERVQUAL and QFD to Measure the Education Service Quality - University Student Perspective

최근에 한국의 고등교육은 매우 빠른 속도로 변화하고 있다. 동시에 이 변화는 교육 서비스 품질을 높게 유지하기를 바란다. 게다가 대학은 학생 유치에 계속적인 압력을 받고 있으며 프로그램을 더욱더 매력적으로 만들지 않으면 안 되는 현실이다. 이러한 요인들은 교육 프로그램에 대한 품질관리의 효과적인 수단 개발에 대한 관심을 고조시켰다. 그 결과로 대학들은 기업들에게서 이미 개발되어 운영되고 있는 품질관리모형에 관심을 기울이기 시작하였다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 기업에서 많이 이용되어 온 SERVQUAL과 GFD(quality function deployment)를 이용하여 학생관점에서 교육 서비스품질의 측정 및 분석을 통해 교육 서비스의 질을 향상시키는데 있다. 이 연구를 위하여 우리는 2007년 봄 학기 동안 P대학의 상경대학 학생들을 중심으로 설문 조사를 하였다. 이 자료를 기반으로 우리는 SERVQUAL 과 QFD의 통합모형을 이용하여 교육 서비스 품질 측정 모형을 제안하였다. 우리는 본 연구를 통해 교육 전달 시스템의 전반적인 문제를 찾아내고 시스템을 재설계할 수 있는 대안을 제시할 수 있으리라 기대한다.

In recent years, higher education has expanded at an extremely rapid pace in Korea. At the same time, the expansion has increased concern about maintaining the quality of higher education. In addition, educational institutions are now facing increased pressure to recruit students and must strive to make their programs more attractive. These factors have heightened interest in developing effective means of quality management for educational programs; as a result, educators are turning their attention to models of quality management developed in the business world. The purpose of this study is to improve the service quality by measuring and analyzing the educational service quality with student perspective using SERVQUAL and QFD(Quality Function Deployment). For this study, we distributed the survey questionnaire to undergraduate students from business school of P university during spring semester of 2007. Based on this data, the paper proposes a model of measuring eduacational service quality using intergration model of SERVQUAL and QFD and is expected to find out overall problems and suggest alternatives of redesigning education service delivery program.
