본 연구는 등재(후보) 학술지를 대상으로 음악분야 학술논문을 게재하고 있는 학술지를 식별하였다. 그런 다음 발행 간기, 연간 평균 논문 수, 영향력, h-index, 평균인용 횟수, 자기인용 비율 등을 분석하여 문제점을 파악하였다. 연구결과, 전체 등재(후보) 학술지 중 음악분야 논문이 게재되고 있는 학술지는 전체 등재(후보)학술지의 1.9%(49개)이며, 발행 간기는 음악/예술일반/기타예술체육 분야 학술지는 2회가 많은 반면 여타 학술지는 4회 이상이 많았다. 학술지의 영향력과 h-index, 평균인용 횟수를 분석한 결과, 음악/예술일반/기타예술체육 분야 학술지와 비교하여 여타분야 학술지가 다소 높은 것으로 파악되었다. 이상의 연구결과를 토대로 첫째 융복합 개념의 학제간 연구를 활성화하여 음악연구 중심의 학제간 학술지 창간과 관련 학술지 투고를 활성화할 것, 둘째 기존 학술지들의 발행 간기를 점진적으로 확대해 나갈 것, 셋째 연구의 질적 역량을 지속적으로 확대해 나갈 것을 제언하였다.
This study aims to identify issues with academic journals listed in the KCI (Korea Citation Index) that publish scholarly papers in the field of music. These issues were identified by analyzing the annual publication frequency, the average number of publications per year, impact factors, h-index, the average citation count, and the self-citation ratio. The results showed that among all KCI-listed academic journals, only 1.9% (49 journals) publish scholarly papers in the field of music. Most journals dedicated to music, general arts, other arts and sports publish twice a year, while many journals in other fields publish more than four times annually. By analyzing the impact factors, h-index, and the average citation count, academic journals in other fields were found to be more prolific than those in the fields of music, general arts, other arts and sports. The aforementioned results suggest invigorating the concept of convergence and interdisciplinarity to promote the establishment of interdisciplinary journals focusing on music and contributing to related journals, gradually expanding the annual publication frequency of existing journals in the field of music, and continuously extending the qualitative capacity of research.
