A Modified Resistant Principal Factor Analysis

We provide a new approach of principal factor analysis working with a resistant reduced correlation matrix R_r* based on the approaches of Johnson and Wichern(1998, pp. 529-530) s modification, and Choi and Byun(1996) s resistant version of principal factor analysis. We call this a modified resistant principal factor analysis. This version of principal factor analysis will give the desirable factors for describing the interrelationship among many variables.
