유교 경전의 확립과정Ⅱ

A study on the establishment process of Confucian canons

유교 경전은 전국 시대와 한 제국에 이르러 육경으로 확립되었다고 간주된다. 이러한 주장은 부분적으로 타당하다. 하지만 이후의 경학사에 나타난 현상을 설명하지 못하는 측면도 있다. 예컨대 유교 경전이 한 제국에서 확립되었다면 후대에 사서가 경으로 열거되는 사실을 제대로 해명할 수 없다. 또 육경이 十三經으로 확대되는 사실도 제대로 해명할 수가 없다. 유교 경전은 특정 시기에 확립되지만 최종적으로 완결되지 않고 끊임없이 확장되는 특성을 보여준다. 이러한 측면에서 이 글에서는 유교경전의 확립 과정에서 놓쳤던 고리에 초점을 두고 논의를 진행하고자 한다. 첫째, 緯 書가 등장하면서 經書와 상호 보완하는 특성을 밝힌다. 둘째, 四書가 등장하여 기존六經 중심의 경전 체계에 영향을 끼치는 특성을 밝힌다. 셋째, 四部 체제가 역사적으로 축적된 다양한 문헌을 분류하면서 유교 경전의 외연을 확장시키는 측면을 밝힌다. 우리는 이러한 논의를 통해 유교 경전이 현대에서도 새롭게 확장되고 조정될 수 있는 정당성을 찾아낼 수가 있다고 생각한다.

The Confucian canons are considered to have been established as six scriptures in the spring and autumn period and Han empire. These claims are partly valid. However, there are some aspects that do not explain the phenomenon that appeared in the history of Canons Studies. For example, if the Confucian canons were established in Han empire, it is impossible to properly explain the fact that Four books are listed as canons in later generations. In addition, it is impossible to explain the fact that the Six canons is expanding into Thirteen canons. The Confucian scriptures show the characteristics of being established at a certain time but not finally complete and constantly expanding. In this respect, this article focuses on the links that were missed in the process of establishing the Confucian canons. First, with the emergence of weish(緯書), it revealsthe characteristics of complementing each other with gingsh(經書). Second, Four books emerges to reveal the characteristics that affect the existing scriptures system centered on Six canons. Third, Four classifications system reveals the aspect of expanding the extension of the Confucian canons by classifying various texts. Through these discussions, we can find justification for the Confucian canons to be newly expanded and adjusted in modern times
