Design of Interdisciplinary Teaching Model to Enhance Collaborative Problem-Solving Competency

본 연구에서는 융합교육을 위한 수업 설계 및 운영 모델로서 ‘협력적 문제해결역량 강화 I4MAT 모델’을 설계하고 모델의 활용을 위한 수업 전략을 제안하였다. ‘협력적 문제해결역량 강화 I4MAT 모델’은 네 단계로 구성된다. 첫째, 융합 수업을 위한 주제 선정, 둘째, 브레인스토밍(하위주제 및 유관학문 나열), 셋째, 안내질문을 위한 초점과 순서 결정, 넷째, 활동 및 교수계획 설계의 단계이다. 이 중 세 번째와 네 번째 단계는 Why(연결, 주의)-What(형상화, 정보)-How(실행, 확장)-If(정련, 수행) 학습 사이클에 따라 구성된다. 또한, 학습 사이클 별로 각 활동에 적합한 협력적 문제해결역량의 요소들이 포함되어 있다. 모델 활용 방안을 제안하기 위하여 ‘본성과 양육’을 융합 주제로 선정하고, 모델의 단계에 따라 구체적인 수업전략을 제시하였다. 이 연구에서 개발한 모델과 수업 전략은 학습양식이 상이한 학습자들에게 적합한 학습경험을 제공하며 협력적 문제해결의 과정과 요소들을 명시하였으므로 이질적인 학습자들을 대상으로 하는 융합교육을 위한 효과적인 지침이 될 것이다. 연구 결과를 토대로 모델의 활용을 위한 교수학적 방안과 후속 연구를 제안하였다.

The ‘I4MAT model to enhance collaborative problem solving competency’ as the model to design and conduct interdisciplinary education is developed in this study. The teaching strategy is also suggested for educational implementation of the model. ‘I4MAT model to enhance collaborative problem solving competency’ consists 4steps: 1) selection of subjects for interdisciplinary education, 2) brainstorming(about related disciplines and contents), 3) the determination of scope and order for the guiding questions, 4) the design of activities and lesson plans. The third and the forth steps are designed according to the cycle “Why(connect & attend)-What(image and inform)-How(practice and extend)-If(refine and perform)”. The collaborative problem-solving competencies in each cycle are also included in the model. The teaching strategy about the interdisciplinary subject ‘nature and nurture’ is designed for the application of the model. The model and teaching strategy suggested in this study give effective learning experiences to all the students who have different learning styles and show collaborative problem-solving skills very clearly, so this model can be a guideline of interdisciplinay education. The educational suggestions for the applications of the model and further researches are discussed based on the results.
