대학생의 학사경고와 극복경험에 대한 질적메타종합 연구

A Qualitative Meta-synthesis Study on Undergraduate Students’ Experiences of Academic Probation and Overcoming

본 연구는 학사경고를 받은 대학생의 경험과 학업적 어려움을 극복하는 과정을 심층적으로 탐색하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 질적연구로 수행된 학사경고생 관련 선행연구 20개를 종합적으로 분석하여 새로운 해석을 제공하는 질적메타종합 연구방법을 적용하였다. 분석 결과, 206개의 의미단위, 44개의 기술적 주제, 7개의 종합적 주제, 3개의 핵심주제가 도출되었고, ‘학사경고로 인생의 밑바닥을 경험하고, 학고탈출의 전환점을 만나 자신감을 회복해나가다’로 개념화가 이루어졌다. 3개의 핵심주제는 ‘학사경고 전 학업을 수행하기 힘든 일을 겪다’, ‘학사경고로 인생의 밑바닥을 경험하다’, ‘학고탈출의 전환점을 만나 자신감을 회복해나가다’이며, 7개의 종합적 주제는 ‘부담되고 스트레스받던 학창시절’, ‘대학에 대한 실망으로 수업을 놓아 버리다’, ‘개인적으로 학업을 수행하기 어려운 이유를 갖다’, ‘학사경고로 인생의 밑바닥을 경험하다’, ‘학고탈출의 전환점을 만나다’, ‘자신의 책임을 받아들이고 다시 힘을 내다’, ‘열심히 하며 자신감을 회복하다’ 로 나타났다. 마지막으로 본 연구 결과에 대한 논의할 사항과 학사경고생을 위한 지원방안 및 추후 연구에 대한 제언을 기술하였다.

The purpose of this study is to explore the experiences of academic probation and overcoming the academic difficulties of undergraduate students in-depth. In this study, a qualitative meta-synthesis study was applied to comprehensively analyze 20 studies related to undergraduate students on academic probation as qualitative studies to provide new interpretations. As a result, 206 units, 44 descriptive subjects, 7 comprehensive subjects, and 3 core subjects were drawn, and then, the conceptualization was made with They experienced the bottom of life through academic probation, and met the turning point of changing and had been restored their confidence . And 7 comprehensive subjects are Burdened and stressful school days , They put down the university study due to disappointment at their university , They had some reasons not to study personally , They experienced the bottom of life through the academic probation , They met the turning point of probation escaping , They accepted their responsibilities and regained a strength , They study hard and have been restored their confidence .
