성인전기 여성 학습자의 발달과업 인식에 따른 평생교육 참여 양상에 관한 연구

A research on aspects of early adulthood women’s lifelong education participation according to their awareness on developmental tasks

이 연구는 성인전기 여성에게 요구되는 교육의 필요성과 중요성에 대한 문제의식을 기초로 하여 이루어졌다. 따라서 이 연구의 목적은 성인전기 여성을 대상으로 발달과업에 관한 인식이 평생교육 참여에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 탐색해봄으로써 성인학습에 영향을 미치는 변인들을 보다 다각적인 측면에서 파악하고 보다 심층적인 이해를 도출하기 위함이다. 이를 위해 전국 15개 지역의 사업장부설 평생교육기관에서 운영하는 평생교육 프로그램에 참여중인 20세 이상 45세 이하의 여성을 대상으로 2015년 4월 21일부터 5월 10일까지로 총 20일간 수집된 자료를 가지고 SPSS 18.0 통계프로그램을 사용, 일원변량분석, 중다회귀분석 등을 사용하여 결과를 분석하였다. 연구결과, 먼저 발달과업에 관한 인식은 연령대, 가족을 이루고 있는 상태, 직장생활경력, 직업 등의 변인에서 유의미하게 나타났으며 발달과업 인식에 따라 평생교육 참여동기, 만족도, 지속성에서도 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 ‘성인전기’라는 생애주기적인 관점에 초점을 둔 새로운 집단을 연구대상으로 하였다는 점과 ‘발달과업’이라는 변인을 평생교육과 연관하여 그 내용에 대하여 탐색하고, 발달과업과 평생교육의 관계에 대한 교육학적인 시사를 끌어내고자 시도하였다는 점에서 선행연구와의 차별성을 지니다. 또한 ‘발달과업’이 평생교육 참여에 영향을 미치는 변인으로 작용하고 있음을 도출함으로써 향후 학습자연구에 시사점을 제공하는데 연구의 의의가 있다.

This research aims to shed light on and discuss about importance of early adulthood women’s developmental tasks in order to emphasize necessity and significance of their lifelong education participation. The research findings can be summarized as follows. First, by analyzing the influence of research participant’s demographic factors on awareness on developmental tasks, it is found that factors related to the tasks of life stage such as age, family status, career experience, job showed significance. Second, the influence of developmental tasks on lifelong education participation was analyzed. The result showed that seven domains of developmental tasks were significant to three domains of lifelong education participation which is motivation for participation, participation satisfaction and persistent participation. This means that awareness on developmental tasks effects lifelong education participation. This research differs from precedent researches in these respects. On the one hand, the research newly focused on early adulthood. On the other hand, the study tried to relate ‘developmental tasks’ to lifelong education and explored their integrated concepts which eventually lead to educational meaning.
