체육계 여성의 경력단절 극복 경험 탐색

Exploring the Experience of Women in sports field Overcoming Career breaks

본 연구의 목적은 체육계 여성이 경력단절을 극복해나가는 과정을 비교, 분석하여 맥락과 구조를 파악하고 통합적인 핵심범주를 도출해 내는데 있으며, 이를 통해 재취업을 원활히 돕기 위한 재교육 시스템 및 직업 환경 조성에 필요한 유의미한 기초자료를 제공하는데 있다. 연구를 위해 이론적 표본추출 방법에 근거하여 6명의 연구 참여자를 점차적으로 선정하였고 심층면담과 문서 수집을 실시하였다. 분석 방법은 Strauss와 Corbin(1998)이 제시한 3단계 분석 단계에 따라 개방코딩, 축코딩, 선택코딩을 실시하였으며, 자료의 진실성을 확보하기 위해 모든 분석 및 해석 과정에서 구성원 간 검토 및 전문가 협의를 실시하였다. 그 결과 개방코딩인 ‘체육계 여성의 경력단절 극복과정 범주화’를 통해 102개의 개념과 24개의 하위범주, 19개의 범주가 도출되었다. 축코딩인 ‘체육계 여성의 경력단절 극복과정 구조화’를 통해 패러다임에 의한 범주분석을 실시하여 6가지 구성요소에 범주를 배치시키고 각각의 속성과 차원을 확인하였다. 선택코딩인 ‘체육계 여성의 경력단절 극복과정 구축’에서는 핵심범주로 ‘예전의 나를 찾기 위한 노력과 도전으로 커리어 우먼으로써 재도약하기’가 선정되었으며, 이야기 윤곽전개를 통해 전체 범주 간의 연관성을 확인하였다. 따라서 경력 단절된 체육계 여성들은 이전과 달라진 자신의 모습에서 변화하기 위한 다양한 시도와 노력을 하였고 가족과 사회의 지지와 협력을 통해 재사회화할 수 있는 기반을 마련해나감으로써 커리어 우먼으로 성장할 수 있었다. 현재는 더 활발한 활동을 희망하거나 자신이 처한 상황을 힘들고 불안하다고 느끼고 있었다.

The purpose of this study is to provide basic information in order to develop retraining programs that would help the women’s reemployment and improve the reemployment system by coming up with a substantive theory including categorization and standardization of the steps to overcome their career break. Based on theoretical sampling, six of the participants were gradually selected and interviewed, and their documents were collected. For analysis, open coding, axial coding and selective coding were implemented using the three analysis steps suggested by Strauss & Corbin (1998). Also, for data veracity, both member checking and peer debriefing have been conducted during all the process of the analysis and interpretation. As a result, 101 concepts, 24 sub-categories and 19 categories have been introduced through Categorization of overcoming process of career break of women in sports field as an open coding. In addition, categories were located into six different components by performing category analysis by paradigm through Structurization of overcoming process of career break of women in sports field as an axial coding. Also, for Construction of overcoming process of career break of women in sports field as a selective coding, ‘Establishing as a career woman through growth and efforts for change’ was selected. Consequently, the women having discontinued their career tried and made an effort to shift to better of them having been changed from the past. Moreover, many of them succeeded as a career woman by setting a solid foundation to go back to the society through family’s support and cooperation. Also, some of them hoped to work more actively and others felt pressed or anxious about the situation they were in.
