W.S. Gosset(Student):Small-sample theory and Contribution for Statistics

본 논문은 1900년 초 고셋이 바이오메트리카에 t-분포를 발표할 당시 영국의 대표적인 학자인 휘셔, 피어슨, 고셋의 통계학적인 인과관계를 정리 요약하였다. 특히 고셋의 t-분포와 실험설계에 대한 기여 부분에 중점을 두어 정리하였다. 본 논문은 통계교수방법론 개발이나 실험계획에 관심이 있는 분들께 흥미 있으리라 생각된다.

In this paper, we review and summarize scientific causality of Fisher, Pearson and Gosset based on Gosset in some articles. They were representative scholars of Britain statistics in early 1900 when Gosset published t-distribution in Biometrika. In particular, we summarize contribution for statistics of Gosset on the basis of achievement for t-distribution and experimental plan. We expect that this research can be applied to development of statistical teaching method and may provide good information to those who are interested in experimental design.
