외환위기 전후 지적자본투자와 기업가치

Foreign Exchange Crisis, Knowledge Capital Investment, and a Firm s Value

본 연구는 외환위기가 지적자본 축적과 이러한 활동이 기업가치에 어떤 영향을 미치고 있는지를 분석하였으며 분석결과, 외환위기이후 기업가치가 전반적으로 상승한 것으로 나타났으며 이러한 기업가치 상승에는 기업들의 지적자산에 대한 투자가 의미 있는 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate how the foreign exchange crisis in 1997 in Korea affected a firm s investment on knowledge capital, and how the knowledge capital investment influenced a firm s value. Statistical results show that companies tended to put more investments on knowledge capital during the foreign exchange crisis. Such knowledge capital investments made positive impacts on a firm s value. Non-public companies in Korea were analyzed in this study.
