한국프로야구에서 득점과 실점을 이용한 승률 추정에 관한 연구

A Study on Winning Percentage Using Batter s Runs and Pitcher s Runs in Korean Professional Baseball League

야구에서 득점은 한 사람에 의해서 이루어진 것이 아니기 때문에 다른 스포츠에 비하여 그 의미가 약한 것이 사실이다. 야구에서 득점(Batter s Runs, BR)과 실점(Pitcher s Runs, PR)은 타점이나 타율 그리고 승리나 세이브에 비하여 상대적으로 가치를 인정받지 못하였다. 그러나 야구의 승리는 득점을 많이 하고 실점을 적게 해야 하는 기본적인 매커니즘을 무시할 수는 없다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 득점과 실점을 이용하여 승률과의 상관관계를 알아보고 또한 군집분석을 실시하여 어떠한 성격의 군집이 가장 승률이 좋은지를 알아보았다. 마지막으로 득점과 실점을 이용하여 승률을 추정하기 위하여 회귀분석과 프로핏 분석을 하였다. 그리고 추정된 회귀식과 미국의 야구통계학자로 유명한 빌 제임스의 승률 추정식의 적합성을 비교하고자 한다.

It is true that the Batter s Run(BR) is less meaningful than other sports game because of the team based sports. BR and the PR(Pitcher s Run) are less deserved their values than the runs, the batting average, the winning and the saver. However it should not be ignored the mechanism which the final winning of the baseball game depends on more BR and less PR.This research tries to find out the correlations between the victory percentage and BR, PR, also know what is the highest effecting cluster on the percentage of victory by using the cluster analysis. This research also did the regression and the probit analysis to estimate the percentage of victory by using the BR and PR factors effecting on the victory percentage. This research compares the suitability of estimation equation of the Bill James s victory percentage with the estimation regression equation of this research.
