A Regression Analysis of Personal/household Attributes Effect on Commuting Time

This paper performed ANOVA and regression analysis to verify a number of factor shortening women s commuting time. As marital status and number of younger children, many variables shortening women s commuting time are tested. Among others, education level, position in job, household ownership, occupation, age, marital status and number of children are shown relatively large difference in commuting time of female in Seoul. Besides many findings, the limit of this paper is relatively small R-square value. In regression analysis involving 7 variables above mentioned, the R-square is 0.135. This means the model exclude some important variables. Income, full-time/part-time worker etc. may be these factors.
