종합병원 직원의 뇌사자 장기이식에 대한 지식, 태도와 교육요구

Knowledge, Attitude and Educational Needs of Hospital Staff on Organ Transplantation in Brain Death Donors

본 연구는 뇌사자 장기이식에 대한 긍정적인 인식과 활성화를 위하여 B광역시 M종합병원 직원을 대상으로 뇌사자 장기이식에 대한 지식, 태도와 교육요구를 파악하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 자료수집기간은 2015년 7월 25일부터 9월 15일까지였으며, 연구대상자는 B광역시에 소재한 M종합병원에 근무하는 근속년수 1년 이상의 병원직원 321명을 대상으로 하였다. 뇌사자 장기이식에 대한 지식은 평균 13.31±3.20점(20점 만점)이었고, 뇌사자 장기이식에 대한 태도점수는 평균 3.59±0.36점(5점 만점)이었다. 연구대상자의 뇌사자 장기이식에 대한 지식과 태도 간에는 통계적으로 유의한 양의 상관관계가 있었다(r=.302, p<.001). 뇌사자 장기이식과 관련하여 받고 싶은 교육 내용에서는 ‘뇌사’에 관한 것 46.4%, ‘장기 및 조직기증 결정과 관련한 것’ 36.1%, ‘장기 및 조직기증 동의 얻는 것’ 25.2%의 순으로 응답하였다. 교육을 받은 경험은 20.2%로 교육이 부족한 실정이었으며, 뇌사자 장기이식에 대한 교육요구에서 뇌사자 장기이식에 대한 교육요구와 참여 의사는 각각 95.6%, 90.3%로 높게 나타났다. 따라서 뇌사자 장기이식에 대한 교육이 필요하며 병원 내 직원교육프로그램에 뇌사자 장기이식 교육과정이 포함되어야 할 것으로 생각된다.

The purpose of this study was to examining knowledge, attitude and educational needs of hospital staff on organ transplantation from brain dead donors, in order to promote positive awareness about organ transplantation from brain dead donors. Subjects were 321 hospital employees who have been working for at least 1 year at a general hospital located in B city. Data was collected from July 25 to September 15, 2015, using a structured questionnaire. Knowledge about organ transplantation from brain dead donors scored 13.31±3.20 points out of 20, and the percentage of correct answers was 67.4%. Attitude toward organ transplantation from brain dead donors scored an average of 3.59±0.36 points out of 5. There was a significant positive correlation between knowledge and attitude of the subjects regarding organ transplantation from brain dead donors (r=.302, p<.001). In educational needs, 95.6% responded that education is needed. In conclusion, there was a need for education on organ transplantation from brain dead donors, and training programs for hospital staff must include the curriculum on organ transplantation from brain dead donors.
