The Effects of Strategic Orientation on the Technology Innovation Performances : Mediation Effect of Convergence Capabilities

본 연구는 전략지향성인 시장지향성과 기술지향성이 기술혁신성과에 미치는 영향과 융합역량이 기술혁신성과에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대하여 분석하였다. 또한 융합역량이 시장지향성과 기술지향성 간의 매개역할을 수행하는지에 대해서 복합적으로 실증분석 하는 것에 연구의 초점을 맞추었다. 이를 위해 국내 제조 기업들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시해 선행연구를 바탕으로 가설을 설정하고 수집된 데이터를 활용해 경로분석과 소벨테스트를 실시하였다. 실증분석 결과 시장지향성과 기술지향성은 융합역량에 정(+)의 영향을 미치며, 융합역량은 기술혁신성과에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 융합역량이 시장지향성, 기술지향성과 기술혁신성과 간의 관계를 매개하고 있다. 이는 시장과 기술에 대해서 전략적 방향과 문화를 기업이 보유한 정형화된 기술역량에 맞추고 프로세스에는 기술의 혁신을 위해 융합기술을 반영하여 보다 높은 기술혁신성과를 창출할 수 있다는 것을 의미한다.

This study aims to analyze how the impact with the market orientation and technology orientation, as well as convergence capabilities to the technology innovation performances. In addition, this study focused on complex-empirical analysis on convergence performances whether it acts as an intermediary in the market orientation and technology orientation. For that, we conducted a survey of domestic manufacturers. And we framed a hypothesis on the basis of previous research and conducted empirical analysis by using collected data. According to the results of empirical analysis, firstly, the market and technology orientation had a positive (+) impact on the convergence capabilities. Secondly, the convergence capabilities had a positive (+) impact on the technology innovation performance. As well as this, the convergence capabilities were found to mediate the relationship between market orientation, technology orientation and innovation performance. Therefore, enterprises which have strategic direction and culture must close the formal technical competence for the market and technology. The process should be able to generate higher innovation performance by reflecting the convergence technology for innovations in techniques.
