아동문학 작품 속 장애 등장인물 특성 분석에 관한 연구

A Study on Character Analysis of Characters with Disabilities in Children s Literature

이 연구는 아동문학 작품 속 장애 등장인물의 특성을 분석하여 장애 관련 아동 문학작품에 나타난 장애에 관한 견해를 알아보고자 하였다. 총 16권의 작품을 내용 분석을 통하여 얻은 결론으로는 첫째, 장애관련 아동문학 작품 속의 등장하는 장애 인물의 개인적인 특징은 일반적인 수준에 못 미치는 것으로 묘사되었다. 둘째, 장애가 있는 등장인물에 대해서는 장애가 없는 일반인이 도움을 주어야 한다는 생각이지배적이었다. 셋째, 장애 관련 아동문학 작품 속의 장애 등장인물은 자기 결정 능력이 없거나, 부정적인이미지로 묘사되는 경우가 많았다. 문학은 그 시대의 일반적인 의식 수준을 반영한다고 하였다. 독자가 아동인 창작 도서는 의도적으로 교육적인 목적을 두지 않더라도 그 영향력이 크다는 인식이 필요하다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of disability characters in children s literature and to find out the views on disabilities in children s literature related to disabilities. As a conclusion obtained through content analysis of a total of 16 works, first, it was described that the personal characteristics of persons with disabilities in children s literature related to disabilities were less than the general level. Second, the idea that the general public without a disability should help with characters with disabilities was dominant. Third, disability characters in children s literature related to disabilities often lack self-determination or are described as negative images. It is said that literature reflects the general level of consciousness of that era. It is necessary to recognize that creative books, in which the reader is a child, have a great influence even if they do not have an intentional educational purpose.
