자폐성장애 학생을 위한 스마트기기 활용 중재에 대한 메타 분석

Meta-analysis of Smart Devices Utilization Intervention for Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder

본 연구의 목적은 자폐성장애 학생의 스마트기기 활용에 대한 국내·외 연구의 동향과 효과성을 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 2012년부터 2019년까지 국내·외 학술지에 게재된 선행연구 중 선정기준에 적합한 총 54편의 논문을 선정하여 연도별 연구현황, 연구대상, 연구방법, 독립변인, 종속변인, 메타분석에 의한 효과크기를 기준으로 분석하였다. 메타분석에 의한 효과크기는 비중복비율 기법(PND)과 개선율 차이(IRD) 척도를 사용하여 분석하였다. 자폐성장애 학생을 위한 스마트기기 활용 중재에 대한 연구는 매년 꾸준히 이루어지고 있으며, 연구대상은 대부분 학령기 남학생이었다. 연구방법은 중다간헐기초선설계를 주로 사용하였으며, 대부분 학교에서 연구가 수행되었다. 중재유형은 비디오모델링, 보완·대체 의사소통, 애플리케이션 활용 중재가 많았으며, 대부분의 연구가 중재충실도를 수행하였으나, 사회적 타당도는 수행하지 않은 연구가 많았다. 7가지 종속변인에 따른 중재의 효과성 검증에서는 모두 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 종속변인별 PND, IRD 간 유의미한 차이는 없었다. 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 연구동향에 대한 논의와 자폐성장애 학생을 위한 스마트기기 활용 중재 후속연구에 대한 제언을 하였다.

This study analyzes the trends and effectiveness of domestic and foreign research on the use of smart devices by students with autism spectrum disorder(ASD). To this end, 54 papers that met the selection criteria, and published in domestic or foreign academic journals between 2012 and 2019, were selected. The effect size was analyzed using PND and IRD scales. Research on the smart devices utilization intervention for students with ASD is conducted annually mostly on male students of school-going age. This study, which mainly used the multiple probe design, was mostly conducted in the school settings. As for the intervention type, smart devices were mainly used for video modeling, AAC, and smart applications. Most study cases included descriptions to conduct intervention fidelity; however, many study cases lacked social validity. All the effects were verified in the effectiveness analysis of the intervention. Additionally, significant differences between PND and IRD were not identified. Based on these results, we present the discussions on research trends and suggestions for follow-up studies on smart devices utilization interventions for students with ASD.
