간호학생의 메타인지, 학습유형, 내외통제성 및 자존감

Metacogniton, Learning Style, Locus of Control and Self-esteem of Nursing Students

본 연구는 간호학생의 메타인지, 학습유형, 내외통제성과 자존감 간의 관계를 파악하기 위해 수행되었다. 연구대상자는 G도 소재 일개 전문대학 간호학과에 재학 중인 1, 2, 3학년 학생 287명이었으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS 20.0 프로그램을 이용하여 기술통계, 카이제곱검정, Fisher s 정확검정, t-검정, ANOVA, Scheffe’s 검정, Pearson s 상관계수로 분석하였다. 연구결과 대상자들의 메타인지는 문항별 5점 만점에 평균 3.40점, 내외통제성은 문항별 1점 만점에 평균 0.59점, 자존감은 문항별 5점 만점에 평균 3.66점으로 보통 이상이었으며, 일반적 특성에 따른 메타인지는 교우관계(F=3.932, p=.021), 대학생활만족도(F=6.905, p=.001), 전공만족도(F=8.159, p=<.001), 성적(F=8.329, p=<.001)에 따라 차이가 있었다. 학습유형은 동화형이 33.4%로 가장 많았다. 또한 메타인지는 내외통제성(r=.205, p<.001), 자존감(r=.201, p=.001)과 학습유형의 추상적 개념화(r=.220, p<.001)와 양의 상관관계가 있었으며, 학습유형의 구체적 경험(r=-.140, p=.020)과는 음의 상관관계가 있었다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 간호학생의 메타인지를 향상시키기 위한 간호교육프로그램을 개발, 적용할 것을 제안한다.

This study was done to identify correlations among metacognition, learning style, locus of control and self-esteem of nursing students. The subjects were consisted of 287 first, second and third year nursing students at one university in Gyeonggi-do. The data were analyzed using chi-square test, Fisher s exact test, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe’s test, Pearson s correlation coefficients with SPSS Statistics version 20.0. On a scale of 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest), the mean metacognition score of subjects was 3.40, mean self-esteem score was 3.66. On a scale of 0 (lowest) to 1 (highest), the mean locus of control score was 0.59. The largest number of learning style among subjects was assimilator. A positive correlation was found between metacogniton with locus of control, self-esteem and abstract conceptualization of learning style. A negative correlation was found between metacogniton with concrete experience of learning style. These findings indicate that it needs the nursing education program to increase metacognition ability of nursing students.
