남자간호대학생의 전공만족도에 미치는 영향요인

The Effect of Gender Stereotype and Military Duty Planning Level on Major Satisfaction in Male Nursing Students

본 연구는 남자간호대학생들의 성고정관념, 병역의무계획, 전공만족도를 파악하고 전공만족도에 미치는 영향을 확인하여, 점차 증가하고 있는 남자간호학생들의 적응을 돕는 간호교육 프로그램의 기초자료를 제공하고자 시도하였다. 본 연구는 단면 조사연구로서 2014년 8월부터 12월까지 연구목적을 이해하고 설문조사 참여에 동의한 자로 광역시와 지방도시 소재 8개 학교에 재학 중인 간호학과 남학생 288명을 대상으로 편의추출 하였고, 수집된 자료는 SPSS 22.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 남자간호대학생의 전공만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인은 병역의무계획, 성고정관념, 졸업 후 희망진로, 건강에 대한 인지, 간호학 전공을 선택한 이유가 예측요인이었고 설명력은 30.5 %이었다(F=16.768, p<.001). 그러므로 남자간호대학생의 전공만족도를 증가시키기 위해 성고정관념은 감소시키고, 병역의무계획을 수립하도록 돕는 상담 등과 같은 다양한 관리프로그램이 필요하고 성별에 따른 성고정관념과 전공만족도를 비교하는 연구와 병역의무 복무경험이 남자간호학생에게 미치는 영향에 대한 연구를 제언하는 바이다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship among general characteristics, gender stereotype, military duty planning level and major satisfaction, and to find out which effects are influencing the major satisfaction. This study was carried out to provide baseline data of nursing education program for male nursing students whose numbers are increasing gradually. The cross-sectional study design was used. And 288 male students were selected by convenience sampling from 8 colleges which were located in metropolitan or local city. Collected data was analyzed using SPSS 22.0 program. Prediction factors that effects on major satisfaction were military duty planning level, gender stereotype, desired career, self recognition of health status, motivation for entering nursing school, and the explanatory power was 30.5% (F=16.768, p<.001). The results show that management program is needed for the male students to reduce the gender stereotype and to help planning the military duty.
