청소년의 자아탄력성이 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향

The Effect of Ego-Resiliency of Youth on the School Life Adjustment: the Moderate Effect of Age

본 연구는 청소년이 지각한 자아탄력성과 학교생활적응의 관계에 있어 연령에 따른 관계성의 변화를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 자아탄력성을 예언변인으로, 학교생활적응을 준거변인으로 설정하고, 예언변인과 연령의 상호작용 항을 투입하여 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 자아탄력성과 D2(연령의 더미변인: 중학교 1학년과 2학년)의 상호작용 효과가 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 단순 주효과 분석을 위해 Ferguson(1981)의 공식을 사용하여 두 연령 집단에서 자아탄력성과 학교생활적응간의 상관계수 차이를 검증한 결과, 중학교 1학년에 비해 2학년 집단에서 자아탄력성과 학교생활적응간의 관계성이 저하되는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 연령이 증가함에 따라 학교생활적응에 대한 자아탄력성의 설명량이 감소함을 의미하며, 특히 학교생활적응의 하위요인 중 교사관계에 있어 연령의 조절효과가 유의하게 나타난 점을 고려할 때, 교사들이 학생을 대하는 태도에 있어 단조로움과 경직성이 반영된 결과로 해석할 수 있다. 이는 학교 부적응 문제에 있어 교사들의 책임이 요구됨을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the change of relationships between ego-resiliency and school life adjustment for youth due to the age. The hierarchical regression analysis was conducted by giving ego-resiliency as a predicting variable, school life adjustment as a predicted variable, and ego-resiliency × age as a interactive variable. As a result, the interaction effect of ego-resiliency and D2(dummy variable: middle school year 1 and 2) was significant. For the analysis of simple main effects, using a Ferguson (1981)’s formula, the difference of correlation coefficient between ego-resiliency and school life adjustment in both age groups was verified. As a result, the correlation between ego-resiliency and school life adjustment in middle school year 2 was lower than that of middle school year 1. This result showed that the explanation volume of ego-resiliency for the school life adjustment was reduced as increasing age. Specifically, for teacher relationship as a subfactor of school life adjustment, consider that the moderate effect of age was significant, this result could be interpreted that the attitude of teachers to students was the monotony and rigidity. It suggested that the responsibility of teachers would needed in the school maladjustment issues.
