대학생들의 콘돔사용 태도에 영향을 미치는 요인

Predictors of Condom Attitude in Korean College Students

본 연구는 성 활동이 자유로워지는 대학생 시기에 자율성이 강조되는 안전한 성을 시도하기 위해 콘돔사용 태도를 확인하고, 이에 영향을 주는 영향요인을 확인하고자 시도하였다. 본 연구결과, 대학생들의 성 활동의 특성은 성교 경험은 증가하고 있지만, 첫 성교 시 피임실천이나 지속적인 피임실천은 낮으며, 주로 사용하는 피임방법은 질외사정법인 것으로 나타났다. 대학생들은 성 활동이 증가함에 따라 초래되는 원치 않는 임신, 성 전파 질병의 위험에 처해 있으며 이를 예방할 수 있는 콘돔사용 실천이 요구된다. 콘돔사용 태도과 콘돔사용 지식, 콘돔사용 자기효능은 중간정도로, 위험성에 대한 지각은 높은 편이었다. 콘돔사용 태도가 긍정적일 수록 콘돔사용 지식과 자기효능, 지각된 위험성 정도가 높았다. 본 연구에서 대학생들의 콘돔사용 태도가 비교적 긍정적이고, 콘돔사용 지식정도나 자기효능이 높은 수준은 아니었지만 중간 정도를 나타내었고, 높은 수준의 위험성에 지각은 바람직한 결과이지만 안전한 성행위를 유도할 수 있는 지속적인 피임교육이 필요하다.

The aim of this study was to identify sexual behavior and predictors of the condom attitude for measuring the attitude, self-efficacy, knowledge, perceived risk toward condom use in sexual relationships. This study used a cross-sectional, correlational design using an exploratory survey methodology through self-reported questionnaires. The questionnaires was administered to 349 college students using a convenience sampling. The percent of subjects that experienced sexual intercourse was male 62.8%, female 28.1%. The respondents’ score of condom attitude was a mean score 55.19±11.19. The predictive power of the model for explaining condom attitude was 31.8%. The significant predictors of condom attitude were sex, use the condom(past 6 month), experience of pregnancy, smoking, self-efficacy. Further research is needed to identify the prevalence rate of condom attitude using more reliable variables. A sex education program should be developed for promoting behavior of condom use and formation of positive condom attitude among sexually active college students.
