The major purpose of this study is to find out the needs or desire of the students and teachers in technical high schools regarding engineering-technology English part and suggest some contents, and design the syllabus of the engineering-technology English which should be contained in technical English textbook. Through the survey conducted in 4 technical high schools and needs analysis of students and teachers, 47 notions were selected for the engineering-technology English syllabus. These results explain that students and teachers in technical high schools are more interested in materials which receive attention in the modern industrial society. When these results are adopted in the syllabus design. some notions need to be added or corrected according to the situation of each technical high school. Also, as the degree of needs among the groups (majored teachers and not-majored teachers, majored students and not-majored students) shows different ratings in choosing contents of the syllabus, different weight should be given to each group.
