일개 남자 고등학생의 성행동, 피임지식, 피임 자기효능감 및 위험지각에 관한 연구

Sexual Behavior, Knowledge, Self-efficacy, and Perceived Risk of Contraception among Male High School Students

본 연구는 남자 고등학생들의 성행동, 피임지식, 피임 자기효능감 및 위험지각 정도를 파악하고 제 변수 간의 관계를 파악하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 본 연구의 대상자는 S시에 소재한 일개 인문계 남자 고등학교 172명을 편의추출 하였다. 연구 대상자의 성행동은 이성과 손잡기 84.3%, 포옹 67.4%, 키스 40.1%, 애무 18.6%, 진한 애무 13.4%, 성교 10.5%였다. 연구 대상자의 피임지식은 4.76점±3.30이었으며, 학년, 성적, 가정에서의 피임교육, 현재 이성교제에 따라 유의한 차이를 보였다. 피임 자기효능감은 30.25점±6.38이었으며, 학년과 현재 이성교제에 따라 유의한 차이를 보였다. 피임에 대한 위험지각은 9.79점±3.01이었으며, 성적과 학교에서의 피임교육에 따라 유의한 차이를 보였다. 대상자의 피임지식과 피임 자기효능감 간에는 정관관계를 보였다. 본 연구결과를 토대로, 성별의 차이를 고려하여 남자 청소년에게는 지속적인 피임교육 프로그램을 통해 원치 않은 임신의 발생을 예방하고 이와 더불어 성 건강 증진을 도모해 나가야 할 것이다.

This study aimed to investigate the differences in sexual behavior, knowledge, self-efficacy, and perceived risk of contraception among male high school students. A descriptive research design was used. In this study, 172 male students by a convenience sampling method. Data were collected through personal interviews in the form of questionnaires from May to July, 2009. The major findings of this study were as follows: (1) The mean scores of contraceptive knowledge, contraceptive self-efficacy, and perceived risk of contraception were 4.76±3.30, 30.25±6.38, and 9.79±3.01, respectively. (2) Contraceptive knowledge among the students significantly differed according to the grade, scores, contraceptive education at home, and friendship with members of the opposite sex. (3) Contraceptive self-efficacy significantly differed according to the grade and friendship with members of the opposite sex. (4) The perceived risk of contraception significantly differed according to the grade and contraceptive education at the school. These results provide information to health professionals to develop intervention programs and reduce the incidence of pregnancy among adolescents. In addition, male students need to be further educated about contraception.
