Health Promoting Behaviors in Hospital Registered Nurses: Focused on Resourcefulness

본 연구는 간호사의 자원동원성이 건강증진행위에 미치는 영향과 이들 간의 관계를 검정하고 간호사의 자원동원성과 건강증진행위를 향상시키는 기초자료를 마련하고자 시도된 서술적 상관관계 연구이다. 연구 대상자는 대학병원에서 근무하는 간호사 400명이었으며 자료의 수집은 자가 작성용 설문지를 배부하여 이루어졌다. 연구결과 간호사의 자원동원성의 평균은 11.42점이었고, 간호사의 건강증진행위 총 평균은 112.11점이었다. 각 문항별 평점은 4점 만점에 최소 1.36점에서 최대 3.55, 평균 2.16점으로 나타났다. 건강증진행위 하위영역별 평점은 영적성장영역이 22.50점으로 가장 높았고 신체활동영역이 13.66점으로 가장 낮았다. 자원동원성과 건강증진행위에 유의한 차이를 보이는 인구학적 특성으로는 종교, 결혼상태, 근무형태 등이었으며 자원동원성과 건강증진행위는 유의한 순 상관을 보였고, 자원동원성이 높을수록 건강증진행위 이행을 잘하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 자원동원성은 간호사의 건강증진행위에 대하여 19.9%의 설명력을 나타내었다.

Purpose: This study was to define the degree of resourcefulness and health promoting behaviors of nurses in hospital, and identify the relationship between the resourcefulness and the health promoting behaviors. Methods: Data were collected from 400 nurses working at three of University hospitals using a self-administered questionnaire for Rosenbaum Selfcontrol Schedule (SCS) and Health Promoting Lifestyle Profile-II (HPLP-II). Results: The mean score of resourcefulness was 11.42 and there was statistically significant difference in the score of resourcefulness according to marital status (t=-2.519, p=.013) and working shift (F=4.708, p=.003). The mean score of health promoting behaviors was 112.11 and there was statistically significant difference in the score of health promoting behaviors according to religion (t=2.117, p=.035). In the correlation analysis, health promoting behaviors had the positive relationships with resourcefulness (r=.440, p=.000). By means of controlled multiple regression analysis, the resourcefulness provided explained 19.9% of health promoting behaviors. Conclusion: These findings provide information that is relevant in designing interventions to enhance health promoting behaviors among nurses working in hospital.
