한국어판 복합비애척도(K-ICG)의 타당화 연구

Validation of the Korean Version of the Inventory of Complicated Grief(K-ICG)

복합비애척도(ICG)는 Prigerson 등(1995)에 고안된 병리적 비애 지표를 측정하는 척도이다. 한국어판(K-ICG)의 타당성을 검증하기 위해, 번역 및 역번역을 거쳐 ICG 설문지의 한국어판을 만든 후, “사회적 관계 내에서 자살을 경험한 자살생존자의 정신건강 추적연구”의 WAVE I을 활용하여 K-ICG의 내용타당성, 구성타당성 및 신뢰성을 조사하였다. 인구 조사를 기반으로 한 층화비례할당표집 방법으로 전국에서 무작위로 표집된 19-69세 성인 2,000명이 온라인 설문 조사를 완료했다. 이 중 사회적 관계에서 죽음을 경험한 성인 495명의 데이터가 분석되었다. K-ICG는 1 요인의 19문항으로 최적 구성되었다. 항목간 내적일치도(Cronbach s alpha)는 .958이었다. 외적타당성은 CES-D와 .382의 상관관계로 나타났다. K-ICG는 1요인 형태의 척도로서 우수한 타당도를 보였다. 정신건강 분야에서 사별에 대한 복합비애를 측정하는 것의 중요성에 대해 논의하였다.

Inventory of Complicated Grief (ICG) originally devised by Prigerson et al.(1995) is a scale to assess indicators of pathological grief. To validate the Korean version(K-ICG), after the ICG questionnaire was transformed in Korean through translation and reverse-translation, the K-ICG’s content validity, construct validity, and reliability were examined by using the WAVE I of the Longitudinal Study of Suicide Survivors. 2000 participants aged 19 to 70 were randomly selected nationwide by a multilevel stratified proportional sampling method based on the Korean Census, and completed the online survey. Data of 495 adults who experienced death in social relationships was analyzed. The K-ICG is optimally composed of 19 items of one-factor dimensions. Inter-item consistency (Cronbach’s alpha) were .958, respectively. External validity was verified with the correlation of .382 with CES-D. K-ICG showed good validity as a measurement with one factor. The importance of measuring complicated grief for bereavement in the field of mental health was discussed.
