한국판 음주 접근ㆍ회피 질문지의 타당화 연구

A Validation of the Korean Version of the Approach and Avoidance of Alcohol Questionnaire

본 연구는 음주 갈망을 다차원적으로 측정하는 음주 접근ㆍ회피 질문지를 번역 및 제작하여 신뢰도와 타당도를 검증하였다. 이를 위해 대학생 268명을 대상으로 요인구조와 신뢰도를 분석하였고, 음주 수준, 음주 문제, 변화동기, 변화준비도 척도와의 상관분석을 통해 동시타당도를 확인하였다. 탐색적 요인분석 결과, 접근과 회피의 2요인이 발견되었다. 신뢰도는 전체 문항 및 하위요인 모두 만족할 만한 수준의 내적일관성을 보였다. 동시타당도의 경우, 접근 요인은 음주 수준, 음주 문제와 정적인 상관을, 회피 요인은 음주 수준과 부적인 상관을 보였다. 또한 접근 요인은 변화동기 및 변화준비도에서 음주 문제에 대한 인식, 양가성 척도와 정적 상관을, 회피 요인은 인식, 양가성, 실천 척도와 정적 상관을 보였다. 이러한 결과는 한국판 음주 접근ㆍ회피 질문지가 음주 갈망을 다차원적으로 측정할 수 있는 유용한 도구임을 시사해준다. 또한 음주 갈망을 일차원적이고 단순하게 접근했던 전통적 관점으로는 측정할 수 없었던 양가감정까지도 유용하게 측정할 수 있는 도구로 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the reliability and validity of the approach and avoidance of alcohol questionnaire which assess multi-factorial perspective towards alcohol craving for Korean version. The factor structure, reliability, and concurrent validity with alcohol consumption (frequency and quantity), alcohol problems, motivation to change, and readiness to change were analyzed for 268 undergraduates. The factor analysis supported a two-factor solution representing approach and avoidance dimensions. The Korean version of the Approach and Avoidance of Alcohol Questionnaire and subscales showed good internal consistency. Concurrent validity were found that approach factor was positively correlated with alcohol consumption and alcohol problems, and avoidance factor was negatively correlated with alcohol consumption. Also, approach factor was positively correlated with recognition and ambivalence, and avoidance factor was positively correlated with recognition, ambivalence, and taking steps. These results suggest the Korean version of Approach and Avoidance of Alcohol Questionnaire is a useful scale that measures multi-dimensional alcohol craving.
