사회연결망분석을 이용한 나눔로또 데이터 탐색적 분석

Exploratory Analysis of Korea Lotto Lottery Using Social Network Analysis

나라마다 로또복권 발행방식은 다양하다. 우리나라는 45개의 숫자 중 소비자가 직접 6개를 선택하여 순서에 상관없이 일치하는 개수에 따라 등위가 결정되는 6/45방식이다. 추첨은 공개된 장소에서 공정하게 이루어지므로 당첨확률을 높일 수 있는 별도의 방법은 있을 수 없다. 그러나 우리나라의 경우 다른 나라에 비하여 로또복권이 발행된 시기가 매우 짧은 시간임에도 불구하고 다른 나라와는 달리 로또복권에 대한 불신이 매우 높은 편이다. 이에 1등 당첨번호들에 대하여 일정한 법칙이 존재하거나 당첨번호를 추첨하는 방식에 문제가 있지 않음을 객관적으로 입증할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 이에 대한 일환으로, 1등 당첨번호로 출현되는 번호를 노드(node)로 간주하고 이들 노드 간의 연결 관계망(network)을 파악하는 사회연결망분석의 관점에서 이에 대하여 논하여 보았다. 그 결과 로또복권 1등 당첨번호의 무작위성이 양적ㆍ질적 측면에서 만족됨을 알 수 있었다.

There are variable ways in issuing Lotto lottery in many countries. Korea uses 6/45 system, which consumers choose 6 numbers out of 45 numbers on their own. The rank is given according to the number of numbers matched up, regardless of chosen order. Methods to raise chances of lottery-winning cannot exist because the numbers are drawn fairly in opened place. However, people in Korea have relatively higher disbelief in Lotto lottery, even it has not been long than other countries that Korea started to issue Lotto lottery. Therefore, objective demonstration is needed to prove that drawing method is proper and that there is no regular rule in drawn numbers. For this, this research regarded first-place winning numbers as nodes and discussed about it in social network analytic perspective which understands networks between those nodes. As a result, it proved that randomness of first-place winning numbers in Lotto lottery was satisfied in both quantitative and qualitative side.
