유아교사의 성격강점과 행복감과의 관계에서 교사효능감의 매개효과

The Mediating Effect of Teacher Efficacy on the Relation between Childhood Teachers’ Character Strength and Happiness

연구의 목적은 유아교사의 성격강점이 행복감에 미치는 영향을 분석하고, 교사효능감이 유아교사의 성격강점과 행복감 간의 관계를 매개하는지를 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위하여 부산, 경남, 대구, 경북지역에 소재하고 있는 유치원, 어린이집 교사 456명을 대상으로 성격 강점 척도, 행복감 척도, 교사효능감 척도를 사용하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료를 바탕으로 주요 변인들 간의 관련성을 살펴보기 위해 상관관계 분석을 실시하였고, 유아교사의 교사효능감이 성격강점과 행복감 간의 관계에서 매개하는지를 알아보기 위하여 매개모형 검증을 실시하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 밝혀진 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성격강점은 교사효능감 및 행복감과 정적상관을 보였다, 또한 교사효능감은 행복감과 정적상관이 나타났다. 둘째, 교사효능감은 성격강점이 행복감에 미치는 영향을 부분매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 종합해 보면 유아교사의 경우 성격강점 수준이 높을수록 행복감 수준이 높고 성격강점에서 행복감으로 가는 과정에서 교사효능감이 매개한다는 것을 알 수 있다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 후속연구에 대한 제언과 시사점을 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effect of teacher efficacy on the relation between early childhood teachers’ character strength and happiness. For this study, a survey was conducted using scales of character strength, happiness and teacher efficacy to 456 childhood teachers who were working at kindergarten or child care center in Busan, Gyung-nam, Daegu and Gyungbuk province. Correlation analysis was used to find out the correlation among factors based on the data collections. And mediated model test was conducted to determine whether teacher efficacy has the mediating effect on the character strength and happiness or not. The result of this study showed as follow. First, character strength had significant positive correlation with teacher efficacy and happiness. Also, teacher efficacy showed positive correlation with happiness. Second, teacher efficacy worked as partial mediation about character strength affecting on happiness. Based on the result, it is discussed. implications and suggestions for further study.
