정서 일치성이 목격자의 기억에 미치는 영향

The Influence of Emotion Congruence on Memories of the Eyewitness

본 연구는 목격자가 사건을 목격할 당시의 정서와 그것을 인출할 때의 정서의 일치여부가 기억에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 우선 동일한 중립자극 동영상을 통하여 모든 피험자들의 정서상태를 비슷한 수준으로 일치시킨 후 정서(긍정/부정)와 일치성(일치/불일치) 여부에 따라 네 집단(긍정-일치, 긍정-불일치, 부정-일치, 부정-불일치)으로 나누고 동영상에 대한 기억정도를 측정하였다. 연구결과, 긍정기억 동영상을 본 피험자들은 기억을 저장할 당시의 정서와 인출할 때의 정서가 불일치할 때 더 잘 기억하였으며, 부정기억 동영상을 본 피험자들은 기억을 저장할 당시의 정서와 인출할 때의 정서가 일치할 때 더 잘 기억하였다. 즉, 정서와 일치성이라는 두 가지 요인에 대한 주효과는 나타나지 않았지만 요인간의 상호작용이 나타나 정서에 따라 일치, 불일치 효과가 다름을 확인할 수 있었다.

This study was carried out to find how the absence of the emotion congruence influence the memory performance when eyewitness save and recall memories. Subjects were divided by the emotion (positive/negative) and congruence (accordance/discordance) state into 4 groups and made their emotional condition in a comparable rate. After then Subjects were shown a positive or negative video and they were shown an accord or discord video to occur their emotion. They responded the questionnaires which rate their memory performance. In the result of the study, the subjects who saw positive video had a higher rate in memory performance when their saving memory emotion and recalling memory emotion discord. On the other hand, the subjects who saw negative video had a higher rate in memory performance when they saving memory emotion and recalling memory emotion accord. There was no main effect each of the emotion or congruence, but the influence by the interaction between emotion and congruence was statistically significant.
