
Reliability Estimation of a 2-Unit Warm-Standby System with Rayleigh Lifetime Distribution

The warm standby system has been recognized as a useful model for reliability studies and life testing experiments. This paper deals with estimating reliability of a 2-unit warmstandby system with Rayleigh lifetime distribution that switch is perfect. First, the maximum likelihood estimation is used to estimate the reliability of the model when data are grouped and type-1 censored. Second, the Bayesian estimation is used to estimate the reliability. Third, the generalized maximum likelihood estimation is used to estimate the reliability. Finally, the Bayesian estimator and generalized maximum likelihood estimator for the maximum likelihood estimator (MLE) will be compared with numerically in terms of various mission times, parameter values in the sense of asymptotic relative efficiency through Monte Carlo simulation.
