한국 퀴어 소설에 나타난 자기 반영적 서술 전략

Self-reflective Narrative Strategy in Korean Queer Novels

본고는 근래 한국 퀴어 소설이 자기 반영적 서술 전략을 적극적으로 사용함으로써 퀴어미학과 퀴어 정치를 창출하고 있음을 입증하고자 한다. 이를 위해 서사의 담화 구조를 중심으로 퀴어 서사의 패턴을 독해하였다. 우선 연작소설의 형태를 통해 소설가 화자와 실제 작가 사이를 연계하여 해당 소설의 쓰는 주체로서의 내포 작가를 창출하는 전략을 살펴보았다. 두 번째로 소설가 화자가 자신의 재현이 현실의 퀴어에게 미치는 영향력을 스스로 다시 점검하면서, 그러한 점검의 과정을 다시 소설로 쓰는 순환적 재현을 다루었다. 세 번째로는 재현 산업에 종사하는 퀴어 인물의 창작을 해당 소설과 별개로 실존하는 재현물처럼 병치함으로써, 자기 재현을 하는 인물과 그 인물의 재현물이 순환하면서 상호보증하는 전략을 살펴보았다. 이러한 서사 전략들의 근간에는 근래의 퀴어 서사가 재현행위의 현실적 개입과 재현 주체의 수행성에 대해 주목하는 양상이 있음을 고찰하였다. 이를 통해 퀴어의 자기 형성에 미치는 ‘자기 독서’의 양상과 새로운 재현 문법을 모색하는 퀴어서사의 정치성을 살펴보고자 하였다.

This article aims to prove that recent Korean queer novels are creating queer aesthetics and queer politics by actively using self-reflective narrative strategies. I read the patterns of queer narratives, focusing on the discourse structure of the narrative. First of all, I looked at the strategy of creating a implied author as a author of the novel by linking the novel s narrator with the novel s author through the form of a series of novels. Secondly, I dealt with the cyclical reenactment of the novelist narrator rewriting the process of such a check into fiction, checking the influence of its own reenactment on the queer of reality. Third, I looked at the strategy of combining the creation of queer characters, as if they existed apart from the novel concerned. This is a strategy in which the self-representative character and the character s representation works are mutually assured. These narrative strategies was to pay attention to the practical intervention of the representation action and the performance of the representation subject. Through this, I studied the politics of queer novels, seeking the aspect of ‘self-reading’ on the self-forming of queer and a new language of queer representation.
