골프 경기력 요인의 경제적 가치분석

Analysis on Economic Value of Golf Performance Factor

본 연구는 골프선수의 기술적 능력과 기록 그리고 상금에 관한 구조적 추정을 통하여 기록요인의 경제적 가치를 산출하는데 있다. 연구대상은 2009년 PGA 골프경기에 참가한 선수 중 상위 184명의 선수기록을 수집하여, 골프의 기술적 요인과 평균타수 그리고 상금간의 관련성을 탐색하고, 기록과 점수, 상금 간의 구조 모형을 통한 기록의 경제적 가치를 추정하고자 하였다. 분석은 Excel 및 SAS를 이용하여 기술통계 및 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 골프 기술적 요인과 평균타수, 상금 간의 삼차원방정식 모형분석 결과 기술적 요인(그린 적중률, 홀 당 퍼팅 수, 샌드 세이브율, 드라이버 정확도, 드라이버 비거리)의 경기 평균타수에 대한 설명력은 81.7%, 평균타수와 추정치의 라운딩 횟수 순위에 대한 설명력은 26.3%, 그리고 상금에 대한 순위의 추정치와 탑 텐 피니시 요인이 미치는 영향력은 74.2% 정도로 나타났다. 이에 근거하여 골프 경기력 요인의 경제적 가치는 그린 적중률이 한 단위 증가하면 90,784.1달러, 샌드 세이브율은 12,024.4달러, 드라이버 비거리는 7,214.63달러, 그리고 드라이버 정확도는 12,024.4달러 정도의 상금이 증가하고, 홀 당 퍼팅이 한 단위 증가하면 상금은 8,325,679.33달러 감소하는 것으로 나타났다.

This paper intends to estimate the economic value of golf performance by collecting performance records of 184 golfers who participated in 2009 PGA golf tournaments. According to the results of three-dimensional equation modeling analysis on factor of golf performance, putting average, ranking and prize money, explanatory power on technical (green in regulation, number of putting per hole, sand save percentage, accuracy of driver and driver distance) and career factors is 81.7%, and explanatory power on putting average and its estimate and ranking of number of rounding is 26.3%, and ranking of prize money and its estimate, or influence of factor of top 10 finish is around 74.2%. Besides, as for economic value of golf performance, as green in regulation increases by one unit, the economic value, sand save percentage, driver distance, and accuracy of driver increases by 90,784.1, 12,024.4, 7,214.63 and 12,024.4 dollars, respectively. On the other hand, as putting in hole increases by one unit, earning average decrease 8,325,679.33 dollars.
