The Effects of Career Education Program Using e-career Portfolio on Career Maturity of Elementary School Students

본 연구에서는 e-커리어 포트폴리오 활용 진로교육 프로그램이 초등학교 고학년의 진로성숙도에 미치는 효과를 파악하고자 한다. 24명의 초등학교 고학년을 대상으로 12명씩 실험집단과 통제집단으로 나누어 안창규와 안현의(2006)가 한국형으로 타당화한 Holland의 진로성숙도 검사를 사용하였다. 실험집단에게 e-커리어 포트폴리오 활용 진로교육 프로그램을 12회기 실시한 후 실험처치를 하지 않은 통제집단과 함께 사후검사를 실시하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 14.0을 이용하여 진로성숙도 사전검사를 공변인으로 하고 사후검사를 종속변인으로 한 공변량분석을 실시하였다. 통계적 검증에 따른 양적 분석에 대한 제한점을 보완하기 위해 실험집단을 대상으로 진로성숙도 하위영역을 대표하는 질문으로 사전, 사후 면접을 실시하여 구체적인 변화사례를 수집하였다. 본 연구에서 도출된 연구결과 실험집단은 통제집단에 비해 진로성숙도 향상에 효과가 있었고, 실험집단은 통제집단에 비해 진로성숙도 하위요인인 진로지향성, 직업의 이해, 자긍심 영역에서 통계적으로 유의미하게 점수가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 사전, 사후 면접을 실시한 결과 진로성숙도 향상에 긍정적인 변화를 보였다. 따라서 인터넷을 통해 다양한 직업을 탐색해보고 미래에 갖게 될 자신의 직업을 상상해보는 활동인 e-커리어 포트폴리오 활용 진로교육 프로그램이 초등학교 진로교육 현장에서 활성화할 필요가 있을 것으로 판단된다.

The purpose of this study was to find out the effects of the e-career portfolio program on elementary school student’s career maturity. This study was conducted on 24 elementary school students in Busan, who are divided into two groups; one was an experimental group of twelve students and the other was a control group. They were all examined with the career development test created by Holland and reorganized by Ann (2006). After twelve sessions, the experimental and the controlled groups were post-tested. The result was analyzed by ANCOVA with a co-variable of pre-test grades for the career maturity, and a dependent variable of the post-test grades. Individuals who showed significant change were given pre and post interviews with questions which focused on the area of career maturity. The conclusions are as follows: First, the experimental group members who participated in the e-career portfolio program showed higher grades in career maturity as a whole as opposed to the control group. Second, the experimental group who participated in the e-career portfolio program showed higher grades in career awareness, job responsibility, self confidence. Pre and post interviews showed a positive change and improved of career maturity. Overall, the e-career portfolio program has a positive effective on the children’s career maturity.
