간호대학생의 대인관계 능력에 영향을 미치는 요인

Factors Affecting Nursing Students’ Interpersonal Relationship Ability

본 연구는 간호대학생의 공감수준과 의사소통 능력이 대인관계 능력에 미치는 영향을 파악하여 간호대학생의 원만하고 성공적인 대인관계 구축에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하고자 시도되었다. 연구대상자는 경기도와 충청북도에 소재한 간호학과 2곳에 재학 중인 학생 383명을 대상으로 설문지를 통해 자료 수집하였다. 연구결과 대인관계 능력은 89.22, 공감수준은 하위영역별로 관점수용 24.38, 상상하기 26.29, 공감적 관심 26.40, 개인적 고통 22.32이었으며, 의사소통 능력은 167.72이었다. 간호대학생의 대인관계 능력에 영향을 미치는 요인은 총 6개로 의사소통 능력, 개인적 고통, 공감적 관심, 관점수용, 임상실습 경험 유무, 한 달 평균 영화관람 편수였으며, 총 설명력은 41.9%로, 이중 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 요인은 의사소통 능력이었다. 간호대학생의 대인관계 능력을 증진시키기 위해서는 공감적 이해 증진을 통한 효과적인 의사소통 교육 프로그램의 개발과 효과를 검정하는 연구가 필요할 것이다.

The purpose of this study was to identify the factors affecting nursing students’ interpersonal relationship ability. Data on questionnaires were collected from 383 nursing students who were enrolled in two nursing departments located in Gyeonggi-do and Cheong- cheongbuk-do respectively from March 5, 2012 to April 20, 2012. The scores were 89.22 points for interpersonal relationship competence and 167.72 points for communication competence, and the scores of empathy level in the subcategories included 24.38 points for perspective taking 26.29 points for fantasy 26.40 points for empathic concern and 22.32 points for personal distress. The factors affecting the interpersonal relationship competence of nursing students were 6 in total such as perspective taking, empathic concern, personal distress, communication competence, clinical practice experience, and the number of viewed movies and the total accountability was 41.9%. As in the above in order to improve their interpersonal relationship competence, it is necessary to prepare an education program for nursing students to improve their communication competence by increasing their empathy level degree towards the subjects.
