울산광역시 베이비붐세대의 노후 생산활동에 관한 연구

A Study on the Retirement Plan of the City of Ulsan’s Baby Boom Generation for Productive Activities and Well-Aging

고령화 사회로의 진입은 전세계적인 현상이지만, 우리나라는 세계 어느 나라에서도 볼 수 없는 빠른 속도로 고령화가 진행되고 있다. 고령화 사회에서 베이비부머(baby boomer)들은 그들 자신의 노후를 위한 준비는 충분히 하지 못한 상태로 퇴직을 하게 됨으로 인해 경제·사회적으로 여러 문제를 내포하고 있다. 본 연구는 이미 노인이 된 계층들을 대상으로 한 연구에서 벗어나, 앞으로 노인이 될 계층인 베이비부머들의 인적자원 활용차원에서 그들의 경제(일자리)·봉사·여가 활동에 대한 생산적 욕구를 통합적으로 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 베이비부머들의 인력을 적극 활용하여 연속적으로 일하며 전문성을 이어 갈 수 있도록 적합한 일자리를 개발·창출하고, 이와 더불어 여가활동과 봉사활동에 대한 교육이나 지원을 포함한 거버넌스적 관점의 새로운 일자리 모델이 절실히 요구됨을 시사한다.

Entered ageing society is the world phenomenon. However, population ageing is occurring much faster in this country. Baby boomers grew up at a time of dramatic social change, and they will have a much briefer opportunity to build the infrastructure necessary to address this demographic trend. This social change marked the generation with a strong cultural cleavage, between the proponents of social change and the more conservative. This study on the retirement plan for active ageing allows people to realize their potential for physical, social, and mental well-being throughout the life course and to participate in the society, while providing them with adequate protection, security, and care when they need.
