청소년들의 학교주변 유해환경 이용실태 및 복지서비스 요구

Actual Condition of Using the Noxious Environment around School and Welfare Service Demand of Adolescents

The purpose of this study was to perform the actual condition of using noxious environment around school and the welfare service demands of adolescents. The data were collected through 107 male and 90 female adolescents using the self-administered questionnaire method and the sample consisted of 197 respondents living in Deajeon. The results of this study are as follows: 157 people (80.9%) live in residential areas, such as apartments and detached houses, and 37 (19.1%) live in other areas. Of the respondents 117 (59.4%) said they had used harmful facilities, and 73 people (37.8%) spent between 1 and 2 hours each time. 59 respondents (31.1%) used harmful facilities on weekends, followed by 23 (12.1%) after school and 42 (22.1%) after the test. There was a significant difference in the use of hazardous facilities by gender (χ2=4.71, df=1, p<.05); there was no difference (χ2=3.30, df=1) in the use of noxious environments by the residential environments. In order of frequency, the most used facilities were PC rooms, singing practice rooms, and billiards rooms. The demand for youth welfare facilities was 57 (29.2%) followed by 37 (19%) for youth-only sports facilities, 37 (19%) for youth counseling rooms, and 32 (16.4%) for youth shelters. The demand for programs needed by teenagers was followed by 61 (31.3%) for hobby skills classes, 47 (24.1%) for career counseling programs, 31 for cultural programs (15.9%), and 21 (10.8%) for counseling on youth issues.
